About The legend of Atlantis in Ibiza

Atlantis (Sa Pedrera) is not a beach or a cove. It is an ancient sandstone quarry where the stones used to build the 16th-century walls of Dalt Vila — now a UNESCO World Heritage Site — were extracted.

Over time, the place was discovered by Ibiza’s hippy community, who were drawn to its mystical energy and unique landscape. They carved figures, painted Buddhas and created small altars on the rocks, turning Sa Pedrera into a sacred and legendary spot.

Today, Atlantis does not appear on tourist maps. There are no signs. It is a place you have to seek out — and the best way to find it is from the sea.
